2010 Health Care Act Summary and Timeline

Health Care Reform Update

Although there are a few provisions that will begin fairly quickly, such as no pre-ex requirements for children and elimination of lifetime and “unreasonable” annual maximums, the most significant changes do not take effect until 2014. For the next six to 12 months very little changes as the insurance companies make their preparations.  We will be regularly communicating with you as details emerge.

Fortunately, we all have time to prepare and educate ourselves. Please go to http://interlandiinsurance.com/HealthCareAct.aspx to review a 3-page summary of the new act and a 7-page implementationtimeline.  Change is inevitable, but a positive and well informed outlook is optional.
